Operations Manager- Metal Processing (Our Client)- 4 positions Location: Concord, ON or North York Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role Our client is looking for an Operations Supervisor to lead daily operations in a metal processing facility. This role is responsible for supervising production staff, ensuring a safe workplace, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support team leaders and production employees. Ensure materials are received, sorted, processed, stored, and shipped accurately and efficiently. Monitor productivity, quality, housekeeping, and workflow. Train and coach employees on safe work practices and company procedures. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Conduct daily equipment and workplace safety inspections. Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment operating safely. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development. Investigate workplace incidents and complete required reports. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and operational processes. Resolve day-to-day operational and customer service issues. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 2–3 years of experience in a metal manufacturing or metal processing environment. Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role. Experience operating or supervising material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, skid steers). Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, WHMIS, and environmental compliance. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel). Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
