Job description: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the proper execution of the projects under their responsibility, within the budgeted deadlines and costs, and to the satisfaction of the client. They will oversee complex projects, provide strategic direction, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. RESPONSABILITIES Ultimately responsible for the proper completion of projects under their supervision, done on schedule, on budget and to the customer’s satisfaction. This includes, but is not limited to: Structuring the launching of new projects, evaluating risks, setting financial objectives and the operating strategy, and implementing an efficient internal and external communication plan. Defining a technical strategy and a supply plan in collaboration with the System Engineer and the Procurement Department. Developing the general and detailed planning and coordination of all the activities required to meet established contractual and financial objectives. Ensuring follow-up and compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, quality, and health & safety standards from Engineering, Procurement, and at Site, as well as the timely performance of all activities related to each project under their supervision. Organizing team meetings, preparing the minutes, and defining the actions for the team during the execution of the project. Analyzing and preparing all the documentation related to the project reviews with management in collaboration with the Commercial Manager. Performing a risk & opportunity evaluation and detailing the possible financial variances regarding the established objectives while suggesting a contingency plan to correct any potential situation. Analyzing, defining, and implementing a contingency plan to correct any failure or inadequacy that can have a direct impact on the results of the project (costs, schedule, quality…) in collaboration with the Commercial Manager and System Engineer. Preparing and negotiating customer claims with the support of the Commercial Manager. Ensuring the proper close-out of a project once activities are completed. Why do you fit the profile? As our projects have large scopes and often require years to be completed, your perseverance will be valued. Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the field of project management in heavy industry projects (experience in hydroelectricity or energy producing equipment and related manufacturing activities an asset). Proven experience and accomplishments related to the efficient management of projects with an inherent complexity and an accelerated schedule. Proven leadership and team spirit, innovative. Excellent listening skills as well verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in French and in English. Availability to travel, as necessary. Exigences

Candidates must have at least ten years of project management experience in heavy industry, preferably in hydroelectricity or energy equipment. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a PMP certification are considered assets.
