Aon is looking for a - Global Benefits AVP - Captive - Hybrid in the Montreal office Do you want to be part of a key growth area in our Global Benefits team? Do you want to work in a dynamic international team with great rewards and flexibility? This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Montreal office. Role Outline You will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative, effective solutions that support the North America Global Benefits team in providing employee benefits captive consulting. To be successful, you will: Deliver high-quality Captive EB advice that supports client satisfaction and contributes to sales and revenue growth for the Captive EB Services team. Organize and coordinate resources effectively to meet project and client deadlines, with guidance from management. Build internal networks with Aon colleagues active in the underwriting and captive space, as well as external industry contacts. How this opportunity is different This role provides international exposure, working with multinational clients and Aon teams around the world. The AVP will be responsible for delivering dedicated Aon captive employee benefits services to a multinational client portfolio. Key responsibilities include client satisfaction, team coordination, sales support, and representing Aon in the market. Key responsibilities This career opportunity offers diversified project and client exposure. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Client Management & Sales Lead active account management for a portfolio of key captive clients, with support from other Aon team members. Act as a central liaison between the client, the fronting networks and other captive stakeholders. Manage large bespoke projects including feasibility studies and employee benefits captive program implementation and contract negotiation. Support sales opportunities and the expansion of services to existing captive and global benefits clients. Underwriting and Financial Analysis Review pricing and underwriting analyses produced by colleagues and provider reports for accuracy, raise queries, and ensure corrections are made. Support the team in the review of reinsurance financial statements issued by the insurers. Team Development and Strategic/Leadership Support Facilitate expertise building and personal development among team members. Contribute to internal initiatives that drive efficiency, improve the client experience, and strengthen team infrastructure. Play a leading role in enhancing Aon’s employee benefits captive proposition with global leadership. Contribute to and execute the strategy for the captive employee benefits advisory business, with clients and internally. Represent Global Benefits and wider Aon in the external market through captive employee benefits services marketing and thought leadership. Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success Priority will be given to candidates with at least 8 years of international or non-US benefits experience in an insurance or professional services firm. We value demonstrated consultative skills, the ability to work effectively in a cohesive team environment, and strong communication skills with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Bilingual (French and English). Other languages are a plus. Experience and knowledge in employee benefits underwriting, pricing and reinsurance. Knowledge and technical understanding of global employee benefits programs and processes. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Ability to organize and coordinate resources effectively to meet project deadlines. Collaborative team player focused on personal and collective team development. Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, economics, or another quantitative field preferred. Demonstrated interest in global environments, cultures, and languages.
