CNC Machinist

Apex Industries is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and maintain CNC Lathes or CNC Mills – including 3 and 5 Axis Mills. Operate hand tools and use precision measuring devices. Read and interpret production documentation – including blueprints. Maintain production schedules. Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the lead-hand(s). Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Other duties as assigned to meet operational requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. College diploma in CNC Manufacturing or equivalent combination of education and work experience would be considered an asset and training will be provided. Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring devices. Knowledge of GD and T would be considered an asset. Ability to work both individually or within a team environment with a positive attitude. Knowledge of the manufacturing industry would be considered an asset. Ability to follow verbal or written instructions and work under little or no supervision.

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Lathes or Mills, including 3 and 5 Axis types, while utilizing precision measuring devices. Key duties also involve reading blueprints, maintaining production schedules, and identifying areas for process improvement.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent experience, along with mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring devices. While a college diploma in CNC Manufacturing is an asset, the ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team is essential.
