Job#: 3047836 Job Description: Policy and Procedures Associate Location: Toronto, Ontario (Partial Remote) Role Overview As part of a digital transformation initiative, a leading Canadian financial institution is seeking a resource to support the development, enhancement, and documentation of new Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. The successful candidate will support a multi-year platform migration by creating and streamlining AML/KYC-related policies and procedures. This role involves translating future-state processes into clear business documentation to enable a seamless transition to a new client lifecycle management platform. Key Responsibilities Draft and write policies, procedures, supporting documents, and other communications that align with regulatory requirements and operational needs. Create and update business and technical documentation for KYC onboarding processes. Review existing procedures and simplify large process documentation. Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to document future-state workflows and facilitate global alignment. Lead discussions and presentations with SMEs, operational resources, and senior management. Manage feedback from project stakeholders with differing requirements and priorities. Review technical documentation to create informational materials for a non-technical audience. Required Qualifications Experience: 2-6 years of related work experience in the Financial Services industry. Proven experience in policy and procedure writing, specifically within AML and KYC domains. Direct experience with client onboarding processes. Demonstrated ability to work directly with SMEs and senior stakeholders. Experience developing new compliance processes, including written procedures and process flows. Skills: Business writing skills. Ability to self-direct and execute against detailed plans for short- and long-term initiatives. Familiarity with anti-money laundering regulations and processes. Understanding of operational and regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions. Education: Degree in finance, accounting, law, and/or communications is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Capital Markets experience. Technical writing experience. Background in FIU/Investigations, Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal, or Audit. Experience with process mapping, workflow documentation, and diagramming tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio, SharePoint, and Copilot.
