Job#: 3045183 Job Description: Senior Technical Analyst – Infrastructure Automation, Linux & Data Centre Services Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Analyst to support enterprise infrastructure operations, automation initiatives, and large-scale technology transformation programs. This role combines deep expertise in Ansible automation, Red Hat Linux administration, Windows infrastructure, and data centre operations with the ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor team members, and drive operational excellence. The successful candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for developing infrastructure automation solutions, supporting enterprise server environments, coordinating infrastructure modernization activities, and contributing to data centre migration and transformation initiatives. This position requires a self-sufficient technical leader who can work independently, collaborate across multiple teams, and help establish best practices for automation, system administration, and infrastructure operations. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Automation & Platform Engineering Design, build, maintain, and enhance automation solutions using Ansible Automation Platform. Develop automated workflows for operating system patching, configuration management, server provisioning, compliance validation, and operational tasks. Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to identify and implement automation opportunities across the enterprise. Establish automation standards, governance frameworks, and best practices. Mentor technical staff on Ansible development, automation concepts, and operational processes. Linux & Windows Infrastructure Support Administer and support enterprise Red Hat Linux server environments, including patching, upgrades, security remediation, performance tuning, and lifecycle management. Support Microsoft-based infrastructure including Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM/MECM, and related technologies. Manage and maintain hybrid infrastructure environments spanning on-premises and cloud platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure incidents and recurring technical issues. Data Centre Operations & Transformation Support data centre operations including server deployments, hardware lifecycle management, upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure refresh initiatives. Participate in infrastructure transformation programs, including data centre migrations, cloud adoption initiatives, and platform modernization efforts. Analyze application and infrastructure dependencies to support change planning and implementation activities. Coordinate testing, validation, and production cutovers related to infrastructure changes and upgrades. Technical Project Leadership & Analysis Lead technical discovery sessions with infrastructure, application, and business stakeholders. Assess infrastructure readiness, operational impacts, dependencies, risks, and support requirements for technical initiatives. Develop technical documentation including: Infrastructure diagrams Automation workflows Dependency maps Technical procedures Implementation and migration plans Operational runbooks Support risk identification, mitigation planning, and operational readiness activities. Knowledge Transfer & Capability Development Act as a senior technical mentor for Linux, Windows, automation, and infrastructure operations. Deliver knowledge-sharing sessions and technical coaching. Develop reusable documentation, templates, scripts, and operational procedures. Promote continuous improvement and automation-first practices across the organization. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure environments. 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining Ansible automation solutions in enterprise environments. 5+ years of experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. Strong experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Microsoft infrastructure technologies. Experience with SCCM/MECM and enterprise patch management processes. Proven experience automating infrastructure and security patching activities. Strong understanding of enterprise server infrastructures, virtualization, networking, storage, and operational support models. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues. Experience supporting technical transformation, migration, or infrastructure modernization initiatives. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently with minimal oversight while providing technical leadership and mentorship. Preferred Qualifications Experience administering Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) or Ansible Tower. Experience supporting enterprise-scale automation programs. Experience supporting data centre migration, infrastructure modernization, or cloud transformation initiatives. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Arc, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments. Experience with VMware and enterprise virtualization technologies. Experience within regulated industries such as healthcare, utilities, financial services, or public sector organizations. Red Hat, Microsoft, Ansible, or related infrastructure certifications. Experience leading technical mentoring, knowledge transfer, or capability-building initiatives. Additional Details Location: Flexible / Remote within Canada (occasional onsite attendance may be required) Schedule: Standard 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM local time, with occasional after-hours support for maintenance windows and critical infrastructure activities.
