Wages: $34.49 - $36.91 per hour Apex Utilities Inc. is a provincially regulated natural gas distribution utility delivering safe, reliable, clean, and affordable natural gas service to over 82,000 residential, rural, commercial, and industrial customers in more than 90 communities across Alberta. Supporting Albertans since 1954, Apex operates over 21,000 km of natural gas pipelines and over 600 pressure and regulating stations through a network of 16 district offices. What You Will Do: In this full-time unionized position of Customer Care Representative, you will play an essential role within our Corporate Services & Stakeholder Relations. Current hours of work are work shifts scheduled between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Analyzing and responding to telephone calls, inquiries and requests from both internal and external customers and government agencies; * Generating and dispatching appropriate service orders to field personnel; * Creating and maintaining appropriate records of customer comments, feedback, and payment arrangements in the applicable system; * Receiving and processing natural gas emergency call from customers and/or emergency services; * Maintaining working relationships with Settlement, Band and Reserve administration; * Maintaining call answer levels to comply with Alberta Utilities Commission requirements and; * Providing after hours on call coverage. What You Will Bring: Required qualifications: * Business related Certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution; * Minimum of two years’ experience in a call center/telephone customer service environment; and * Specific call center agent or customer service training. Preferred skills and qualifications: * Strong keyboarding skills; * Excellent spoken and written communication skills; and * Ability to multi-task and work effectively in an environment of constant pressure to meet deadlines and emergencies.
