Under the supervision of the District Supervisor, Distribution Operations, the Summer Support will be responsible for assisting the Distribution Operations team at Apex Utilities. Duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Assisting with the annual leak surveys; * Yard and office maintenance; * Painting stations; * Building meter sets; * Vegetation control within district area; * Assist TDO’s with district needs; and * General maintenance activities. Qualifications include: * Completed first year of post-secondary education* with enrolment in the Fall 2026; * Valid Alberta Driver’s License (Class 5 Preferred); and * Physical ability to do the role. *Post-secondary includes any college, university or technical school. Note: This position is a field position and will require successful candidates to work outdoors. AUI will provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and/or reimbursement for personal PPE like safety footwear. Selected candidates will need to undergo a backcheck process, which includes driver’s abstract, driving evaluation, criminal record check, employment and educational verification and references. In addition, as this is a safety sensitive position, candidate will also complete a 25-pound fitness to work assessment, drug and alcohol screening, olfactory and audiometric testing.
