Are you a payroll professional who enjoys owning the full payroll process while delivering exceptional service to employees? We're looking for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator to join a collaborative team supporting employees across multiple provinces in a dynamic, global organization. This is a contract position for 2 months starting ASAP. Fully in office, downtown Calgary. The successful candidate must have experience processing payroll using Avanti. What You'll Be Doing Process end-to-end, semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across multiple Canadian provinces. (130 employees) Administer employee lifecycle payroll activities including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and payroll adjustments. Manage employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and resolving employee inquiries. Ensure payroll complies with CRA requirements, provincial legislation, Employment Standards, and internal policies. Prepare year-end payroll activities, including statutory filings, tax slips, and annual reporting. Maintain payroll records and employee data, ensuring information remains accurate and up to date. Respond to payroll and benefits inquiries from employees, leaders, government agencies, and benefit providers. Support internal and external audits by preparing payroll documentation and reconciliations. What You'll Bring 3+ years of payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing. Experience processing payroll for employees across multiple provinces. Experience using Avanti is required. Strong understanding of CRA regulations, Employment Standards, payroll legislation, and benefits administration. PCP designation is preferred. Candidates actively working toward their certification are encouraged to apply. Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
