Job Description ARAMARK is looking for a First Cook for the Némiscau camp, Baie-James Aramark offers a 14/14 work rotation. Transportation is provided by plane from the airports of Montreal, Quebec City, Bagotville, and Rouyn-Noranda. Employees are provided with meals, individual lodging, and access to washer and dryer facilities. Aramark offers highly competitive group insurance benefits. Position: First Cook Location: Hydro-Québec, Némiscau, Baie-James Salary: $26,48/hour The schedule is 70 hours per week; after 55 hours, overtime is paid at time and a half. Job Responsibilities Cook and prepare a variety of foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes. Prepare the daily menu. Manage kitchen activities (staff, inventory, ordering as needed). Respond effectively to operational needs. Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items. Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude with guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, etc. Ensure high quality food services and customer satisfaction. Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Qualifications Preferably hold a culinary vocational diploma (DEP) or equivalent experience. 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or restaurant operations. Strong culinary foundation is an asset. Experience in remote camp environments is an asset. MAPAQ certification. Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs. Adhere to established safety regulations. Requirements Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational abilities. Positive attitude, honesty, and sound judgment.
