Subway Food Prep Worker

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs. Job Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service while preparing food orders Compile orders accurately and in a timely fashion Follows proper food handling procedures, maintains accurate rotation of food to assure top quality and freshness Manages leftover foods correctly; cover, label, date, and accurately store according to Aramark standards Maintains clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas Ensures stations are cleaned, sanitized, and organized at the end of the shift (including cleaning of kitchen equipment) Receive payment by cash, debit/credit card and campus card Assist with opening/closing of the location Keep stations clean and replenished at all times Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc. Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation May perform other job duties as required This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Qualifications Experience in food service and cash-handling an asset Strong customer service skills and working within a team setting Ability to follow directions, work quickly and concisely under pressure, and with minimal supervision Must be flexible and adaptable to change Knowledge of food prep, proper knife handling, temperature control, and sanitation is helpful. Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication with others. Demonstrates basic math and counting skills This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Prepare sandwich and meal orders accurately while providing excellent customer service to guests. Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment including refrigerators and kitchen equipment.

Experience in food service and cash handling is an asset, along with the ability to work under pressure. Candidates must be able to follow directions, handle physical demands like lifting and standing, and possess basic math and communication skills.
