The role of the cashier/ coat check attendant is to provide exemplary customer service while receiving payments and assisting guests with the coat check. Job Responsibilities Know, understand, and comply with all ARAMARK and client policies and procedures related to health and safety, security, emergency response, food safety, and sanitation. Safeguard company assets and support loss prevention initiatives. Maintain a positive, professional attitude in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Utilizes time and resources in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Must work well with fellow employees, as a team member, working toward common goals. Assist in training and mentoring team members on menu knowledge, service standards, and operational procedures, as required. Maintain a valid Smart Serve Certification and comply with all responsible beverage service requirements Adhere to all applicable collective agreement provisions and workplace regulations. Safely lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and remain standing for extended periods. Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events, as required. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and product quality standards, ensuring proper waste disposal practices are followed. Address guest complaints and concerns diplomatically, courteously, and professionally, seeking effective resolutions whenever possible. Provide guests with detailed information on menu and service offerings and make recommendations based on their preferences and needs. Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction by responding promptly and professionally to requests and concerns. Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive, attentive service to enhance the guest experience. Greet all guests in a timely manner and deliver exemplary customer service. Providing customers with detailed information about menu options and recommendations. Provide customers with building and events-oriented information. Receive payment by credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits. Issue receipts, refunds, or credit due to customers. Proper payment handling including, greet and servicing guests at the registers, taking orders, and • accepting payments, handling debit and credit cards. Communicate and assist guests with the coat check process. Hang and organize coats within the numerical order system Return coats and items using the numerical order system to guests in a friendly and efficient manner Maintain and organize coat check area, ensuring cleanliness at all times. Accurately complete paperwork referring to lost or stolen articles Communicate and assist guests at the concession stand Stock and restock items as necessary Additional duties as assigned or required and may be occasionally required to work functions outside of the cashier department such as the beverage or banquet department. Breaks down and cleans/sanitizes food service areas, workstations, and equipment Complete all assigned opening, closing, and daily side-work duties. Nothing restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job description at any time, except for the Collective Bargaining Agreement in effect.Qualifications Previous customer service experience preferred Previous cash handling experience preferred Basic math & counting skills required Must be able to work independently with limited supervision Smart Serve Certification is required. 1+ years of point of sale experience with a strong knowledge of customer service. High School Diploma or equivalent. French language skill is considered an asset. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Education The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.51.
