We are looking for an RPN who enjoys family medicine, works well in a close-knit team, and is comfortable balancing independent nursing responsibilities with ongoing collaboration with physicians and staff. The Role This is a part-time, on-site Registered Practical Nurse position working approximately 2–2.5 days per week and supporting two family physicians. Responsibilities include: • Triaging common family medicine concerns within nursing scope and escalating appropriately to the physician • Providing telephone nursing advice and patient education • Preparing and rooming patients for physician visits • Obtaining blood pressure, weight, height, and other required measurements • Administering vaccines, injections, and medications within scope • Assisting physicians with minor office procedures when required • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment, including operating the autoclave, in accordance with infection prevention and control standards • Providing routine nursing services and follow-up care • Reviewing and communicating relevant clinical information to physicians • Maintaining clear and accurate documentation in TELUS PS Suite • Supporting preventative care and chronic disease management • Coordinating with reception and physicians to ensure patient concerns are handled efficiently and appropriately • Completing related clinical and administrative tasks as required What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be someone who is warm with patients, clinically confident, organized, efficient, and comfortable taking initiative within their scope of practice. Required: • Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse • Current CPR/BLS certification • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills • Sound clinical judgment and an understanding of when concerns require physician involvement • Strong documentation and organizational skills • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a busy family medicine environment • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team • Commitment to patient confidentiality, infection prevention, and professional nursing standards Preferred: • Previous family medicine or primary care experience • Experience with TELUS PS Suite (PSS) • Experience with telephone triage and patient education • Familiarity with preventative care, immunizations, chronic disease management, and common primary care procedures Why Join Ardelt? We want our staff to feel supported and set up for success. New team members receive structured onboarding, clear clinic workflows, and access to a continually evolving clinic handbook and training resources. We also believe that the people doing the work are often the best people to help improve it. Team members are encouraged to ask questions, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute ideas that make patient care and clinic operations better. If you enjoy family medicine, meaningful patient relationships, a collaborative small-team environment, and a clinic that is continually looking for better ways to work, we would be happy to hear from you.
