Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Laval, QC. This role supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including staff scheduling, floor coverage, and ensuring store standards are maintained. The Assistant Manager helps lead, coach, and motivate the team to deliver an engaging customer experience, achieve sales goals, and uphold visual merchandising guidelines. Responsibilities include training team members, supporting performance feedback, managing inventory processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The role also contributes to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment while modeling Ardene’s brand values in all customer and team interactions. Qualifications Leadership and people management skills, including team coaching, delegation, and performance support. Customer service and retail sales skills, with the ability to build rapport, handle inquiries, and support a positive shopping experience. Operational skills related to inventory handling, cash management, and adherence to store policies and procedures. Organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and meet store objectives. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse team members. Experience in fashion or retail environments, preferably in a supervisory or key holder role. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
