Senior ServiceNow Developer

Arobas Personnel is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer for a contract opportunity with one of our clients based in Ottawa. Remote* We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow professional to support the design, development, enhancement, integration, and maintenance of enterprise-level ServiceNow solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules and a proven track record delivering scalable and secure solutions within complex environments. Top 3 Skills ServiceNow Development JavaScript & Integrations (REST/SOAP APIs) ITSM, ITOM & CMDB Key Responsibilities Design, develop, configure, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and integrations. Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and support ServiceNow components including workflows, Flow Designer solutions, business rules, client scripts, service catalogs, portals, dashboards, reports, notifications, and ACLs. Build and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and internal or third-party systems. Ensure solutions align with business requirements, security standards, and platform best practices. Troubleshoot platform issues, incidents, and defects, performing root cause analysis when required. Support testing activities, including unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing. Participate in Agile delivery processes, deployments, releases, and change management activities. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, configurations, testing results, and deployment records. Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and support teams to ensure successful solution delivery. Required Qualifications University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer. Minimum 3 years of experience implementing and supporting ServiceNow modules such as: ITSM ITOM CMDB SAM Pro SecOps HRSD SPM / ITBM BCM Crisis Management Custom enterprise applications Strong experience developing and supporting: Workflows Service Catalogs Portals Reporting Scripting Integrations Platform automation capabilities Proven experience troubleshooting and resolving complex ServiceNow issues in enterprise environments. Experience producing technical documentation and supporting solution design discussions. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: JavaScript Flow Designer Business Rules Client Scripts UI Policies ACLs Import Sets Transform Maps Update Sets REST and SOAP Integrations Solid understanding of ITIL practices and Agile delivery methodologies. Experience with ServiceNow governance, release management, and development standards. Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and high-performing ServiceNow solutions.
