Licensed Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Electrician to join our team. Position: Licensed Electrician Location: Hamilton, ON Shift & Pay: Shift: Morning / Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday Pay Rate: $30 - $37 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine the layout of industrial electrical equipment installations. Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, network and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators, electrical motors, generators, storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. Occasionally modify, maintain, test, and document PLC programs at a basic level. Provide Engineering Department feedback on design improvements in the form of written Engineering Change Request. Perform on-site installation, servicing, and repair for commissioning or warranty work on customer finished products. Qualifications & Skills: Licensed Construction & Maintenance (309A) or Industrial (442) Electrician preferably with an interprovincial ticket or red seal Minimum 5 years experience in an industrial or commercial environment. Must be open to travel to USA PLC Programming skills (basic level) would be considered an asset. Ability to travel within North America with a valid passport and driver's license. Power & Energy/Oil & Gas experience in an electrical engineering environment is an advantage.

The Licensed Electrician will read and interpret electrical drawings and install, examine, replace, or repair various electrical components. They will also test electrical equipment and provide feedback to the Engineering Department on design improvements.

Candidates must be a Licensed Construction & Maintenance (309A) or Industrial (442) Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial or commercial environment. Basic PLC programming skills and the ability to travel within North America are preferred.
