Overview Artemis Gold is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company with strong financials aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition, and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions. The Company's current focus is the Blackwater Mine in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver. Location: Blackwater Mine Site Schedule: Two (2) Weeks On - Two (2) Weeks Off Rotation Responsibilities • Demonstrate effective safety leadership by addressing and enforcing BW Golds’ safety standards, procedures, and safety systems.• Working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure grade drilling is successfully carried out.• Managing and interpreting data gathered through grade control drilling to ensure short term production goals are met.• Assessing and managing ore loss and dilution in the field to maximize operational revenue.• Gathering and interpreting geological data for the purpose of producing geological models.• Collecting and interpreting samples in support of our ML/ARD management plan.• Working closely with the processing team to ensure crusher and mill feed is optimized for throughput and recovery.• Collaborate with the geology team members to develop procedures with respect to geology• Stay current with mine geology trends and introduce any new information into work assignments.• Prepare technical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements Qualifications • Degree in geology required.• 2 to 5 years of related experience required.• Experience with mine planning / geological modeling software and other relevant tools. • Experience in open-pit gold mining is considered an asset.• Experience with reverse-circulation (RC) drilling is considered an asset.• Understanding of geological principles, ore deposit types, and mineralization processes. Preferred Skills • Ability to work at a remote location camp on a 2 weeks on/2 weeks off rotation• Comfortable working and living in close quarters with the team• Ability to maintain high levels of performance over 12-hour shift• Ability to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions• Knowledgeable in data management and geological and resource estimation tools.• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.• Ability to work effectively as part of a team effort as well as individually.• Strong interpersonal and both oral and written communication skills.
