Pacific Fertility is hiring a Casual OR Supervisor located at our Edmonton location. This role acts as a team player who identifies, fosters, and owns qualities that align with our mission, vision, and values to provide superior, personalized fertility care to our patients. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Operating Room (OR) Nurse Supervisor plays a vital leadership role within the fertility clinic by ensuring the highest standards of patient care during surgical and procedural interventions. This position combines clinical expertise with administrative oversight to maintain a safe, efficient, and patient-centred OR environment. * Oversee all nursing care activities within the OR, ensuring high standards of practice and patient safety. * Coordinate OR nurse scheduling and staff assignments to ensure optimal coverage. * Assist physicians with OR procedures and provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative care. * Implement and regularly update OR protocols, policies, and procedures in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. * Monitor compliance with infection prevention and control measures to protect patient and staff well-being. * Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with provincial health and safety standards. * Support the HR team in the recruitment of nursing staff, ensuring candidates meet required qualifications and receive appropriate training, while also contributing to ongoing performance management efforts. * Scheduling OR employees. * New staff orientation * Ensure compliance with NHSF Accreditation standards. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: * Must have at least three years of peri-operative nursing experience and/or PARR experience. * Experience working in women’s health or reproductive environments is an asset. * Bachelor's degree in nursing. * Proven ability to identify and successfully demonstrate and realize company goals and objectives. * Demonstrate innovative, analytical abilities, leadership skills, and exceptional communication skills to deliver excellent patient care. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate. * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate. * Proven ability to identify and successfully demonstrate and realize company goals and objectives. * Demonstrate innovative, analytical abilities, leadership skills, and exceptional communication skills to deliver excellent patient care.
