We’re currently seeking a Sales Manager – Central Canada covering Central & Western Ontario, to be based at our Vaughan Headquarters. Role Summary As the Sales Manager – Central Canada, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy, achieving sales targets, and managing a high-performing sales team. You possess great leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a demonstrated history of success in sales management. In this role you’ll report to the Director of Sales - Canada for DSS Canada. You’ll work with your peers in Channel Management and Business Development, as well as the Pricing, Customer Service and Marketing teams. Collaboration and communication will be key in your success, both as a team member, and leader to the Central Sales team. You reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) with the ability to travel throughout the territory. Key Responsibilities Create and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue goals and expand market share in the assigned Ontario regions that is both profitable and sustainable. Foster an environment that encourages team collaboration to meet and exceed sales goals, ensuring profitability and growth. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team objectives. Build and maintain relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty. Engage with and conduct sales calls to key decision-makers and influencers within the Contract Hardware sector, including distributors, architects, general contractors, construction managers, and end users. Work closely with other departments, including other Sales Teams, Marketing, Pricing, and Customer Service, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Update senior management with territory results during monthly review meetings. Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team, enhancing their skills and performance. Supporting the development of the next generation of sales leaders. Perform other responsibilities as required. Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in business or a related field; master's degree preferred 10+ years of experience in the door and hardware business or related industry (i.e. building products, access control) 5+ years’ experience in a managerial role with responsibility for managing a sales team Demonstrated experience with calling on the contract distribution channel Key Competencies Ability to think strategically; demonstrated record of developing and implementing effective sales strategies Proficient relationship building, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, employees, customers and influencers at all levels Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to identify gaps, recommend remedial actions; implement, and measure results Strong knowledge of MS Office and Salesforce.
