Competition # 2026-087 Category: Full Time - Term Closing: Open Until Filled Position Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Children and Families, the Operations Manager will provide high-level support and oversight to the FNFAO Family Reunification Homes. The Operations Manager will oversee FNFAO’s Reunification Homes and will liaise with FNFAO management and AMC’s HR department on all staffing and personnel matters and will organize and coordinate office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day management of the Reunification home. Ensure the smooth operations, effective service delivery and compliance to policy. Lead and support the development and implementation of important operations, planning, and strategy decisions. Manage relationships with stakeholders and participate in strategic planning. Monitor and evaluate employee performance and help promote an organizational culture that encourages optimal performance and a supportive atmosphere. Oversee HR functions and duties as they relate to the FNFAO and ensure proper coordination with AMC’s HR department. Approve time sheets and requests for leave and liaise with HR when needing to submit payroll data, including but not limited to hours of work, and drafting and submitting employee payroll deduction memos. Perform HR full-cycle recruitment and onboarding duties for FNFAO including preparing job descriptions and interview questions, conducting interviews and reference checks, offer letters, and coordinating new hire information and conducting orientations. Properly handle complaints and grievances brought forward internally and externally in a manner consistent with AMC policies and procedures. Respond to general human resources inquiries from staff or direct them to an appropriate HR representative. Assist in the planning and general organizing of personnel meetings with staff, including preparing agendas, appropriate materials, and taking minutes when required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Completion of post-secondary Human Resources, or Business Administration related degree, diploma, or certificate. Minimum of three years working within a human resources environment. Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to be accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality. Experience using an HRIS system; experience in Bamboo is considered an asset. Must be able to demonstrate emotional stability and objectivity when dealing with challenging/changing work environments. Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to proactively identify issues and recommend resolutions in a timely manner while keeping all matters confidential. Adaptable and flexible with a demonstrated ability to take initiative. Ability to plan, balance and manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and competing priorities environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with frequent interruptions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Proficient use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Adhere to AMC policies and procedures with specific attention to attendance, and professional ethics. Knowledge of current employment practices, human rights legislation, and the Canada Labour Code. Time and attendance tracking are considered an asset. Experience working in Human Resources with First Nations or First Nations organizations in Manitoba or other regions. Knowledge of traditional First Nation philosophy and contemporary practices. Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
