Maple Ridge Community Management is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Property Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions related to properties, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. You will collaborate with property managers and clients to maintain financial integrity and support operational success. As a Property Accountant at MRCM, you will handle accounts payable and receivable, prepare financial statements, perform reconciliations, and assist with budgeting processes. This position offers an opportunity to grow your accounting expertise within a supportive and dynamic company. Key Responsibilities: Perform monthly closing and preparation of financial statements for assigned properties Manage accounts payable and receivable functions Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts Assist in annual budget preparation and variance analysis Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards Communicate with property managers and clients regarding financial matters Assist with audits and other financial reporting as needed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High level of professionalism and integrity Great benefits which include: Paid Personal Days Paid Sick days Paid Vacation Extended Heath and Dental Well Perks program Access to continued learning opportunities Certified "Great Place to Work" by employees 6 years in a row!
