Associated Economic Consultants (2017) Ltd. is accepting applications for a forensic economist to work in our Vancouver office. As a forensic economist, you will analyze data, calculate economic damages and prepare reports. You will also testify in court as an expert witness. Principal Duties * Review financial and employment-related documentation * Conduct economic and financial analysis * Interact with clients (law firms) and other team members * Prepare expert reports on damages in the areas of personal injury law and wrongful death claims * Testify in court * Perform statistical research projects, as required Skills Required * Proficiency in economic research and statistics, including data collection, quantitative analysis, and interpretation of results * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear reports and explaining technical findings to non-specialist audiences * Fluency in English * High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines * Professional integrity, sound judgment, and comfort working in a confidential, litigation-oriented environment * Proficiency in Corel Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Quattro Pro and Excel * Willingness to testify in court * Ability to travel Qualifications * Master’s degree in economics * Completed coursework in labour economics * At least 3 years of work experience in the field of economics * Actuarial and/or accounting background is considered an asset * Programming capabilities in Quattro Pro and Excel are considered an asset * Court experience and/or expert certification is considered an asset What We Have to Offer * Competitive total compensation package (salary and benefits) * Eligibility for performance bonuses * Career growth opportunities Application Process * Please apply through LinkedIn with your résumé and any additional materials requested in the application process * Provide at least two work references * We sincerely thank all candidates for their interest, however, only those applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted
