Project Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for delivering bridge and culvert projects for municipal clients. You will provide project management and technical support on transportation projects for public and private sector clients with a focus on bridges and culverts. Managing designs for the replacement or rehabilitation of standard/major bridges, culverts and pedestrian bridges. Managing teams in the preparation of drawings and contract documents and supporting designs. Providing guidance, including mentoring, and instruction, to junior staff. Advancing projects through the planning, concept, design, and construction phases. Preparing technical reports, modelling and design calculations. Engaging in a collaborative work environment with your team as well as other disciplines and offices. Does this sound like you? Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution. Registered, or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-In-Training with APEGA. 3-5 years of progressive experience in bridge engineering within the consulting industry. Experience working Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors is an asset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's licence. Ability to travel throughout Alberta. The Project Engineer will lead the design, replacement, and rehabilitation of bridges and culverts for municipal and transportation clients. Responsibilities include managing technical teams, preparing contract documents, and guiding projects through all phases from planning to construction.

Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and be registered or eligible for registration as a P.Eng or EIT with APEGA. A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive bridge engineering experience in the consulting industry is required.
