Photo & Video Editor

Asteria Films is a Vancouver-based wedding film and photography studio — and we're looking for passionate, detail-oriented photo or video editor to join our team for this wedding season (and maybe beyond). If you're passionate about bringing love stories to life through photos, we love to hear from you. This is a project-based position, ideal for an editor who wants flexible, ongoing freelance work. You'll take raw wedding photo sets and/or footage and shape them into cohesive, on-brand final deliverables for our clients. You'll work closely with our team to match Asteria's established color, tone, and storytelling style across every project you touch. Photo Editing: Cull and edit wedding photo galleries in Lightroom, matching Asteria's established color and tone profiles (if you can justify using AI tools to help with culling, we're also open to that) Build out full wedding albums, sequencing images to tell the story of the day Maintain consistency across ceremony, portrait, reception, and detail shots within a wedding gallery Video Editing: Edit long-form wedding films (highlight films, full ceremony/speech edits) in Final Cut Pro, matching Asteria's established color and pacing Cut short-form reels and social edits from wedding footage for Instagram and other platforms Sync and organize multi-camera and multi-audio wedding footage Requirements Experience photo editing in Lightroom and/or video editing in Final Cut Pro, ideally with wedding or event content. A strong, consistent eye for color, light, composition, and pacing Comfortable working from a shot list or style guide to match an existing brand look Reliable communication and the ability to meet project deadlines Based in or around Vancouver, BC (preferred) Rates TBD based on experience. The editor will cull and edit wedding photo galleries in Lightroom and produce full wedding albums that maintain brand consistency. Additionally, they will edit long-form wedding films and short-form social media reels using Final Cut Pro.

Candidates must have experience in Lightroom and/or Final Cut Pro, ideally working with wedding or event content. A strong eye for color, light, and composition is required, along with the ability to meet deadlines.
