Technical Program Lead – Data Governance, Business Case & Asset Management

Job Description: Role: Program Lead 100% Onsite- Calgary Owns and delivers The full business case workstream: structure and evidence plan, benefits model, cost model, options analysis, and the final input pack with transition plan (rows BC-1 to BC-5). Governance design direction across the charter, framework and policies (with the governance analyst doing the drafting) (DG-1 to DG-3). Phase reviews and the year-end review; the integrated plan relationship with the Maximo program leadership (EAM-2). The acceptance conversation: every deliverable submission cover note and the consolidated-comments loop with client's named acceptors. Skills and experience Level. Senior consulting lead, roughly fifteen years or more, at the level that can be introduced to a CIO without a chaperone. Must have Has led a data governance or data strategy program end to end for a large asset-intensive or regulated business, as the accountable client-facing lead. Has written an investment business case that survived finance and executive review, built on measured evidence rather than estimates. Can hold a room containing a CIO, program managers, enterprise architects and maintenance leaders at the same table. Preferred Utility, transmission or energy sector background, including how a regulated funding cycle actually works. Working knowledge of asset data in Maximo and SAP environments.

The role is responsible for delivering the full business case workstream, including cost models and transition plans, and directing governance design. It also involves managing phase reviews and coordinating deliverable acceptance with client stakeholders.

Requires a senior consulting lead with 15+ years of experience leading end-to-end data governance programs for large asset-intensive businesses. Candidates must have a proven track record of writing executive-level investment business cases and experience with Maximo and SAP environments.
