ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a registered Carpenter Journeyman to join our Kamloops Manufacturing Plant. Reporting to Lead Hand, The Carpenter Journeyman is responsible for assisting in constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes. This is a full-time permanent role based in Kamloops Job Responsibilities: Build house framework, walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding, and ceiling tiles Repair and remodel existing structures of all kinds Read and interpret drawings. Select materials, plan sequences and methods of work, and measure and mark materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions. Cut and shape materials and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue. Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and in the right size, shape, and location. Work accurately and economically and follow national and local building codes Other duties as assigned. Who You Are: Carpenter Journeyperson Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as other building materials. Ability to work in a team environment. Responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing wood, plywood, and wallboard structures in a manufacturing plant. Duties include building frameworks, installing finishes, and ensuring all work conforms to local building codes.

Must be a registered Carpenter Journeyman with the ability to read blueprints and safely operate various hand and power tools. Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset.
