ATCO Structures & Logistics is looking to hire a registered Carpenter Journeyman to join our Grimsby Manufacturing Plant. Reporting to Lead Hand, The Carpenter Journeyman is responsible for assisting in constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes. This is a full-time permanent role based in Grimsby, Ontario Job Responsibilities: Build house framework, walls, roof, exterior and interior finishes Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, handrails, paneling, molding, and ceiling tiles Repair and remodel existing structures of all kinds Read and interpret drawings. Select materials, plan sequences and methods of work, and measure and mark materials to avoid costly mistakes or omissions. Cut and shape materials and join them with nails, screws, bolts, or glue. Check completed units to ensure they are level, square, plumb, and in the right size, shape, and location. Work accurately and economically and follow national and local building codes Other duties as assigned. Who You Are: Carpenter Journeyperson Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools as well as other building materials. Ability to work in a team environment. The Carpenter Journeyman is responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing various wood and wallboard structures and fixtures. This includes building frameworks, installing finishes like doors and windows, and ensuring all work meets local building codes.

Candidates must be a registered Carpenter Journeyman with the ability to read blueprints and work safely with hand and power tools. Previous experience with modular units is considered an asset.
