Manager, IT & Business Systems Build the technology foundation behind AIL’s next stage of growth. AIL is looking for a hands-on technology leader to shape how our people, plants, and business systems work together. As Manager, IT & Business Systems, you will lead our technology function and own priorities spanning IT operations, ERP, cybersecurity, data and business intelligence, AI and automation, and acquisition integration. You will strengthen day-to-day technology services while developing a multi-year roadmap that improves reliability, security, scalability, and operational performance. This is an opportunity to influence the business at every level, from the shop floor to the leadership table. Location: [Insert location and onsite/hybrid expectations] Employment type: Full-time Reports to: [Insert reporting relationship] What You’ll Lead Technology leadership and operations Lead and develop internal IT support, systems administration, and business systems resources. Manage external technology providers and strategic partners. Improve help desk performance, onboarding and offboarding, access management, documentation, system reliability, and user satisfaction. Establish meaningful performance measures for service delivery, cybersecurity, projects, ERP performance, adoption, and business value. Represent technology and business systems in EOS Level 10 meetings. ERP and business systems Own the roadmap, governance, and prioritization of AIL’s ERP and related business systems. Ensure systems effectively support manufacturing, inventory, supply chain, purchasing, finance, customer service, and project management. Partner with business leaders to improve workflows, reporting, data integrity, process consistency, and system adoption. Lead the communication, training, and organizational readiness required for successful technology change. Cybersecurity and resilience Lead cybersecurity governance, risk management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and related compliance activities. Coordinate external cybersecurity partners and ensure remediation commitments are completed. Provide leadership with clear visibility into technology risks, mitigation plans, and investment priorities. Embed security into IT operations, vendor management, business systems, and the technology roadmap. Data, AI, and digital transformation Lead AIL’s data, reporting, and business intelligence strategy. Improve dashboards, Power BI reporting, EOS scorecards, operational KPIs, and the migration of legacy SSRS reporting. Identify practical opportunities to use AI, automation, and digital tools to improve productivity, decisions, and customer experience. Establish appropriate governance for the responsible adoption of AI and automation. Manufacturing technology Partner with operations to support plant connectivity, production technology, manufacturing systems, and operational technology across AIL facilities. Improve production visibility, equipment connectivity, data collection, and workflow automation. Ensure operational technology environments are reliable, secure, and appropriately integrated with corporate systems. Support technology needs across roll-forming, HDPE extrusion, and other production environments. Strategy, projects, and growth Develop a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with AIL’s strategy, growth plans, and operational priorities. Lead the IT project portfolio, including business cases, budgets, timelines, dependencies, communication, and measurable outcomes. Support acquisitions and business expansion through technology due diligence, integration planning, and systems harmonization. Manage technology budgets, contracts, licensing, renewals, service levels, and vendor performance. What You Bring Approximately 8–12 years of progressive experience in IT, business systems, or technology leadership. At least 3–5 years of experience leading teams, vendors, or cross-functional technology initiatives. Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing, industrial operations, infrastructure, distribution, or a comparable operational environment. Demonstrated experience with ERP implementation, integration, optimization, or governance. Experience managing technology projects with budgets exceeding $250,000. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Experience with data and reporting platforms such as Power BI, SSRS, dashboards, KPIs, or executive reporting. The ability to translate technology risks and opportunities into clear business recommendations. Strong leadership, coaching, project management, prioritization, vendor management, and change leadership skills. A post-secondary education in information technology, computer science, business systems, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and relevant experience will be considered. Additional Assets Experience integrating acquired businesses or harmonizing systems across multiple organizations. Experience introducing AI, automation, or digital transformation initiatives. Certifications related to project management, cybersecurity, ERP, IT service management, Microsoft technologies, data analytics, or business intelligence. Why Join AIL?
