We are looking for a Machine Operator to join our team at the newly built High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) facility located in Sackville, New Brunswick. The Machine Operator will report directly to the Plant Manager, and will be responsible for performing general labour tasks, operations, and control of equipment, in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure production targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner as directed. What you will do: * Responsible to perform labour tasks, operation, and control of equipment, in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently * Line start up and shut down * Perforator – cut off set-up * Ensure all blenders are calibrated and filters are cleaned weekly * Hourly machine checks, Blender checks including machine adjustments. Take samples for QC department * Keep your work area safe, clean, and well maintained. Taking timely action to correct unsafe work conditions in your work area * Work safely in accordance with AIL safety standards – actively engaging in safety initiatives promoting “Zero harm” safety culture * Ensure product produced is package properly and help when needed * Ensure product is moved to the year, and in the proper location * Line Change over and down-stream set-up * Verify all pipe is being printed correctly and is legible * Report all major repairs needed and assist in repairing if possible * Communicate all safety concerns, incidents, and process deficiencies to the Supervisor * Fill out all necessary production tracking information * Other duties as required What you will need: * Conscious of safety hazards and their impact * Familiarity with basic computer operations is mandatory * Strong mechanical skills required * Ability to perform accurate and precise mathematical calculations is essential * Strong oral and written English language communication skills necessary * Must be able to work in a team environment * Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * Experience operating heavy machinery or driving a forklift would be considered an asset Why Join Us: * We offer a robust total rewards package - Competitive starting salaries, and comprehensive health and dental benefits. * Company Pension Plan (After 1 year of service). * Internal career opportunities and Educational Reimbursement program. * Family Education Grant Program (Up to $4000 per year) * Monthly Employee Recognition and Rewards Program * Diverse and inclusive workplace - Be a part of our tight family! * Strong company culture committed to providing a positive environment. * Continuous learning and development opportunities * Work-life balance! * Employee referral bonuses * Ongoing coaching, learning, and development opportunities. * Safety Shoes Allowance And Much More!
