As the successful candidate, you will demonstrate the ATS Traffic Core Values at work, every day: * Do What’s Right * Our People Matter * Trust Through Teamwork * Striving for Excellence ABOUT THE POSITION ATS Traffic is looking for a motivated and driven OSS Business Development Representative to grow our On-Street Services traffic control business across Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island. This is a field-based business development role for someone who enjoys getting out in the market, meeting customers, and creating new opportunities. You will focus on prospecting, customer visits, lead generation, reconnecting with past customers, and identifying upcoming projects and new business opportunities. Working closely with our Sales, OSS Operations, and Branch teams, you will help open doors, build relationships, and create qualified opportunities that support the continued growth of ATS Traffic. RESPONSIBILITIES * Prospect and visit potential customers including contractors, utilities, builders, developers, paving companies, landscapers, municipalities, and infrastructure operators. * Conduct cold calls, door knocking, customer drop-ins, and other prospecting activities to identify decision-makers and upcoming projects. * Build and maintain prospect lists and accurately track customer contacts, activities, leads, opportunities, and next steps in CRM. * Create qualified business opportunities and book introductory meetings for Sales or OSS leadership. * Reconnect with dormant and past customers to identify new traffic control needs and opportunities. * Promote ATS Traffic’s traffic control services and identify cross-selling opportunities involving rentals, signage, supply, installations, ITS, data collection, and smart work zones. * Gather customer, competitor, project, and market intelligence and provide regular activity updates. * Work closely with Sales and OSS Operations to transition qualified opportunities for pricing, quoting, and execution. * Maintain consistent outbound prospecting and in-person customer activity throughout the assigned region. * Perform other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS * Previous experience in outside sales, field prospecting, business development, or a related customer-facing role. * Comfortable and confident with cold calling, door knocking, in-person customer visits, and prospecting. * Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and relationship-building skills. * Self-motivated, persistent, professional, and comfortable working independently in the field. * Experience in traffic control, construction, utilities, municipal services, transportation, or a related industry is considered an asset. * Experience using CRM tools to manage customer activity, leads, opportunities, and reporting. * Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly throughout Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island.
