Employment Type: Full time Location: Kelowna, BC Compensation: $32-35 /hour ATS Traffic is currently looking for a Traffic Control Supervisor to lead a group of Traffic Technicians! This position is responsible for communication between office and field activities regarding ongoing projects. The successful candidate will plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and complete work in order to meet departmental productivity and quality goals. Responsibilities * As a member of the leadership team, responsible to demonstrate and model the Corporate Vision and ATS’ Core DOTS’ Principles * Responsible for the coaching, mentoring and performance management of TCP’s and LCT’s in accordance with corporate policy to maintain a cohesive team. * Responsible for maintaining a safety-first environment in alignment with ATS’ Policies, WorkSafeBC and provincial legislation and that all employees are following company policies. * Responsible for the daily mobilization of resources and ensuring timely execution of scheduled work including traffic control, installation, and events. * Ensure field crews have appropriate training, and applicable certificates are maintained. * Responsible to ensure fleet and equipment are in good working order and fleet inventory levels/supplies are maintained. * Follow up with field crews for equipment documentation and time sheets, complete and submit daily. * Liaise with Traffic Control Manager and Resource Coordinator to allow seamless communication between office and field work for successful allocation of resources/equipment. * Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensure issues are dealt with in a timely manner, and create opportunities to expand traffic control services within the industry. * Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, initial orientation and scheduling, of TCP’s and LCT’s * Participate and support the development and delivery of any identified training for TCP’s and LCT’s * Ability to make sound business decisions and report on department performance to management that are in alignment with corporate policies and overall vision * Evaluate work orders for completeness prior to invoicing. * Ensure LEAN and 6S (Six Sigma) are being executed by your team daily * Continuous monitoring of traffic control schedule, keep informed of daily activities, delegate assignments as required * Review and inspect work zone temporary traffic control setups, ensure compliance with drawings, plans and regulatory specifications * Ensure any work zone deficiencies are corrected in timely manner * Monitor inventory delivered and returned so no equipment is lost or forgotten on site * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Minimum 5 year's progressive experience in the Traffic/Transportation industry, preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated leadership experience. * Valid Class 5 Non-GDL Drivers License or better and clean 3-Year Drivers Abstract is required. * Current Traffic Control certification is required and must be maintained * Extensive knowledge of British Columbia TMM and TMP is required. * Knowledge of provincial traffic regulations is preferred. * Must successfully complete drug and alcohol and fit test. * Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required. * Previous experience in training development and using PowerPoint, CANVA and doing presentations/training is an asset * Previous experience in a LEAN/6S environment is a bonus! * Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills is an asset * Confident working with internal and external stakeholders * Reliable team player with a proactive attitude in alignment with ATS Corporate DOTS Core Principles * Solid understanding of Health & Safety and WorkSafe regulations is an asset All applicants must submit a current resume outlining their qualifications and interest in the position. Exigences
Candidates must have at least 5 years of progressive experience in the traffic or transportation industry and hold a valid Class 5 driver's license. A current traffic control certification and extensive knowledge of British Columbia traffic regulations are mandatory.
