COMPANY DESCRIPTION August 8 was originally established in 2008 where its first location opened in downtown Hamilton, Ontario. As a new concept of dining, it was recognized as the first restaurant of its kind in the area to bring the finest aspects of both Cantonese-style dim sum & Japanese cuisine. BRIEF We seek energetic, dependable, and self-motivated individuals to join our team. Candidates with open availability and prior experience as servers will be given special consideration. RESPONSIBILITIES: Busser: • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members to ensure a smooth food delivery process. • Assist in the preparation and setup of food items for service. •Deliver food orders to customers' tables promptly and accurately. • Ensure that all food items are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner. • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that all food orders are complete and accurate before delivery. • Assist with clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. EXPECTATIONS: • Prioritize and perform different tasks in an efficient manner • Think critically and problem-solve independently • Have a sense of urgency during busy lunch and dinner services • Clear communication with guests regarding issues that may arise • Possess a strong urge to provide great dining experiences for our guests MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English. • Ability to understand and follow directions from others. • Ability to perform basic math functions. • Must have Smart Serve certification. JOB TERMS: • Permanent Full-Time • Weekend Availability
