Key Responsibilities and Duties * Work collaboratively as a team member and perform manual labor for the duration of the shift. * Assist the site supervisor or Blaster in Charge with the materials and equipment needs and help collect supplies as requested. * Use material handling equipment and tools including shovels, hand tools, power tools and work around heavy construction equipment. * Maintain a clean, safe working environment and report any employee, customer or safety concerns to the Blaster in Charge or Location Manager. * Other duties as needed and trained on Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities * Ability to work non-traditional first shift hours generally starting early. * This position involves being outside in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying 23kg of product and other materials, and frequently squatting and bending. * Perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide) to count inventory, verify inventory * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions * Strong team-oriented mentality * Ability to read and interpret documents, product information, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. * Able to learn to identify products by classification through visible inspection. Qualifications * Class G license * Requires a fit person who can handle lifting as necessary * Involves daily physical labor as well as periodic shop days and duties that are expected from all employees. * Clean driver abstract * Must meet requirements of all Provincial and Federal explosive laws and qualify as an ERD explosive possessor * Able to pass security screening (Criminal record check) * Able to pass post offer pre-employment functional abilities evaluation * Able to pass post offer pre-employment and random drug screenings Work Environment and Physical Demands * This position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, lifting and carrying approximately 23 kg. and doing a variety of hands-on physical tasks utilizing material handling equipment, safety equipment and hand tools.
