#LI-DNI JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION Compounding Team Assistant COMPANY AND LOCATION Aved - Oshawa, ON EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full-time, Permanent HOURS WORKED 37.5 hours/week, Monday - Friday, (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) weekends/overtime when required DEPARTMENT Compounding REPORTING TO Manager, CTA and Logistics POSITION SUMMARY: The Compounding Team Assistant will be hardworking and adaptable in an ever-changing environment. The Compounding Team Assistant will be required to perform various tasks that include, but is not limited to, support the Compounding Team in preparing medication products, fill and process orders, and facilitate the delivery to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and other patient care centers. This employee will be a dependable team player willing to take initiative and learn new skills. This is a permanent, full-time position working 37.5 hours per week. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performing tasks to support the Compounding Team in preparing medication products (e.g. sterile filtration test, particulate inspection of prefilled pumps, preparation reconciliation paperwork) Printing and affixing various labels on compounded preparations e.g. ophthalmic drops and injections, antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral medications, and prefilled syringes and pumps Packaging various drug products according to health and safety standards (e.g. Credo Cubes with temperature data logger, bags) Processing, filling and billing compounded preparation orders Maintaining an inventory of supplies and drug preparations using computer software and tools Arranging and scheduling compounded product deliveries to patient care centers and facilities Scanning and filing documentation Respond flexibly to production changes and team needs Follow all documentation and safety protocols meticulously Adhere to all health and safety policies and regulations at all times Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including routine cleaning of designated areas Assisting the Compounding Team with any other tasks QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma required Previous experience in an office or pharmacy environment is an asset A positive and hardworking attitude Strong organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills A willingness to learn Knowledge of Zoho Inventory, Microsoft Office and Google G Suites preferred Must be able to lift 25lbs boxes around an office environment and 60lbs occasionally with assistance ------- DISCLAIMER: The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
