We are currently seeking a qualified Logistics Supervisor to join our team. The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and supervision of logistics activities, including receiving, shipping, importing, exporting, incoming component inspection and warehousing. As a team leader, he/she ensures smooth operations, process compliance and optimization of resources. He acts in collaboration with the quality, procurement and production departments to ensure a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction. Location: Montreal, QC Job-type: Full time Working Arrangement: Onsite- 5 days Responsibilities Supervise and coach teams to ensure an efficient workflow, respecting priorities and deadlines. Actively participate in the continuous improvement of logistics processes. Train and develop the skills of team members, ensuring their professional development and compliance with safety and quality standards. Monitor team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective action in the event of deviations from targets. Ensure compliance with internal procedures, safety regulations and best practices in inventory management. Resolve day-to-day operational problems, finding appropriate solutions to unforeseen situations (delays, shipping/receiving errors) Supervise and coordinate all receiving and shipping activities to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, while respecting production deadlines and priorities. Manage shipping and receiving teams, assigning daily tasks and ensuring optimal allocation of resources according to operational needs. Manage shipping and receiving emergencies, promptly resolving non-conformities, delays or documentation errors. Monitor and ensure compliance with operations with safety and handling standards, training and raising awareness of good practices among teams. Plan and supervise all goods, import and export operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customs and contractual requirements. Manage relations with land, sea and air carriers, ensuring a level of service in line with company and customer expectations. Ensure compliance with export controls and destination-specific shipping restrictions. Ensure efficient organization of warehouse space to maximize capacity and facilitate access to materials. Coordinate kitting activities according to production needs, ensuring accuracy of components and quantities prepared. Manage and optimize stocking processes to ensure real-time inventory accuracy in the ERP/WMS system. Collaborate with quality, engineering and procurement departments to handle non-conformities and quickly resolve incoming problems. Plan, organize and supervise component incoming inspection activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications, engineering drawings and quality requirements. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or related field. 3 to 5 years’ experience in a logistics supervisory role. Working knowledge of import/export, warehousing, kitting and quality inspection processes. Proficiency in precision measurement tools, quality standards and ERP/WMS systems. Proven leadership, ability to manage priorities, solve problems and communicate effectively. Rigor, autonomy, organizational skills and results orientation. Compensation: $90,000 – $105,000 CAD The base salary or rate offered to an applicant within this range is determined by considering several factors, including the individual's geographic location, skills, competencies, and unique qualifications.
