Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager (GTM Programs) Location: Calgary - (Hybrid) AVEVA is seeking a Market & Competitive Intelligence Manager to power larger-scale growth programs with high-quality market, customer, and competitive intelligence across key industrial sectors including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, EPC, Metals/Mining/Minerals (MMM), CPG, Life Sciences, and Marine. This is an Individual Contributor role and does not include people management. We are looking for a hands-on, execution-focused and highly analytical researcher and data storyteller who can translate diverse intelligence sources (internal and external) into clear, campaign-ready insights and recommendations that strengthen regional GTM, industry campaigns, targeted account demand generation (1: many), and sales pursuits. You will act as the “program intelligence lead” for priority initiatives—clarifying what intelligence is needed, where to source it, how to keep it current, and how to package it so marketing and sales teams can confidently use it. You will also play a key quality-control role for intelligence outputs (including AI-assisted outputs) to ensure accuracy, relevance, and on-message execution. Principal accountabilities / Key responsibilities Program intelligence Provide market and competitive intelligence and recommendations that powers larger-scale programs (regional market planning, industry campaigns, and targeted account demand generation/ABM at 1:many scale). Build “program-ready” deliverables such as campaign insight packs, segment/industry snapshots, competitor POVs, messaging proof points, and pursuit/deal-context briefs. Intelligence requirements & prioritization Partner with regional marketing, digital, sales leaders, and portfolio/industry stakeholders to define what intelligence each program needs to perform (questions to answer, markets/accounts to target, competitors to track, claims/proof points required). Maintain a prioritized research backlog and ensure responsive turnaround on high-impact requests. Program development (repeatable intelligence products + awareness programs) Develop and continuously improve repeatable intelligence “products” aligned to GTM workflows (e.g., segment fit assessments, competitive battlecards, industry trend briefs, quarterly competitor updates, campaign insight kits). Plan and run intelligence awareness programs to increase understanding and usage of AVEVA intelligence across marketing and sales (e.g., onboarding sessions, monthly “what changed” briefings, internal newsletters/digests, enablement moments tied to campaigns and launches). Standardize templates and guidance so stakeholders can quickly apply insights and reuse content consistently. Intelligence distribution & adoption Embed intelligence into GTM workflows (campaign planning, enablement, pursuit support, QBRs) so teams can easily find and apply insights at the point of need. Drive ongoing adoption in partnership with regional marketing, digital, sales leadership and enablement—ensuring intelligence is understood, used consistently, and translated into action. Market & competitive analysis (hands-on research + synthesis) Design and execute secondary research and insight synthesis on industry trends, customer pain points, buying dynamics, and competitor positioning/moves. Deliver market and competitive analysis across priority industrial sectors, including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Power, EPC, MMM, CPG, Life Sciences, and Marine, tailoring insights to regional GTM programs, campaigns, ABM motions, and sales pursuits. Contribute to competitive battlecards, competitive dashboards, pursuit support/RFP inputs, and periodic competitor summaries. Quality assurance (outputs, including AI-assisted) Review intelligence and AI-assisted outputs before they reach programs/teams/sellers—ensuring they are accurate, current, well-sourced, and aligned with AVEVA messaging and positioning. Maintain “source-of-truth” references and clarity on confidence levels (what is known vs. inferred). Tools & database management (power user expectations) Become a power user of market intelligence tools and databases (e.g., Crayon, EIC, IIR, Demandbase, Salesforce, Power BI as applicable). Advice on required data hygiene and usability (tagging, organizing, maintaining dashboards/views, and making insights easy to access for stakeholders) to support programs.
