About the Role: Reporting The Component Shop Technician reports directly to the Component Shop Manager. Core Competencies Problem Solving Communication Troubleshooting Attention to detail Ability to read manuals and schematic diagrams Ability to work as a team Attitude Professionalism Ability to perform tasks as assigned and directed, in various areas Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures. Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned. Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance, and able to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents. Qualifications Communication – both verbal and written English language. Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on. Ability to work as a team member. Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Ability to use hand tools and demonstrate mechanical experience. Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8-10 hours. Experience Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or electrical background is preferred. Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components following customer specifications, airworthiness directives, and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain compliance with Transport Canada regulations and ensure proper operation of shop equipment.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related mechanical or electrical field, with aviation experience considered an asset. Candidates must be able to lift 50lbs and possess strong verbal and written English communication skills.
