AWC Water Solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Supply Chain Specialist - Procurement. The successful applicant will have a solid background in executing effective procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and strong skills in negotiation and organization are desirable. Key Responsibilities Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services Assess requirements of an establishment to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased Negotiate offers from suppliers Consult with suppliers Review quotations Determine contract terms and conditions Establish delivery schedules Monitor progress of delivery schedules Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization Provide customer service Schedule transportation conveyances Negotiate for services and preferential rates Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders Review bids and negotiate costs Education Bachelor's Degree Business/Commerce, General Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management Applied Economics Experience 3 years to less than 5 years Minimum Qualifications Membership in the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada Computer and technology knowledge MS Office Quick Books Database Management MS Excel MS Outlook SAP BI BusinessObjects SharePoint Work Conditions Work under pressure Tight deadlines Language English Work Setting Private sector Water and waste treatment utilities Personal suitability Excellent written communication Organized Team player Time management Ability to multitask Area of Work Experience Purchasing, Procurement and Contracts Type of Industry Experience Water Treatment and Waste Management Area of Specialization Industrial Benefits & Perks Industry-Leading Compensation AWC offers competitive, industry-leading compensation packages designed to recognize and reward performance. Exigences

Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years and less than 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and contracts, preferably within the Water Treatment and Waste Management industry. A Bachelor's degree in a related field like Business/Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management is desired, alongside strong computer skills including MS Office and SAP BI.
