Job Description The Operations Manager (Field Supervisor) will uphold the core values of Ownership, Trust, and Teamwork. This position will have a passion for safety and leading teams. The Operations Manager (Field Supervisor) will support our initiatives that protect employees, customers, and assets allowing all our team members to return home safely every day. This role is instrumental in achieving success through hard work, integrity, and developing yourself and others. Direct leadership/supervision for 50+ Protectors (field-based crews) Field Responsibilities include site visits, inspections, ensure safety, quality and training opportunities Management Responsibilities include coaching, motivating, and development of team Recruitment, onboarding, and training (full life cycle) Address concerns promptly and efficiently while providing the highest level of customer service Facilitate teambuilding efforts and regular communications with team members Oversee operations, prepare daily schedules and day to day operational requirements, oversee the maintenance of company assets Planning traffic control staffing requirements, monitoring and evaluating customer requirements and coordinating service Administrative requirements, organizing and maintaining office files, completing reports Qualifications High School Diploma or GED completion required (University degree/post-secondary equivalent preferred) 1-2 years of supervisor experience and building teams with 20+ team members Must be able to and enjoy connecting with field-level customers and contacts Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to get the job done Additional Information WHAT YOU WILL LOVE/PERKS: Company provided vehicle with fuel card for work purposes Health/Dental benefits RRSP program EAP (Employee Assistance Program) Career Growth Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee must be able to successfully handle the physical demands of this position, which include but are not limited to the following: Variable hours of operation based on staffing needs and workload Ability to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing walking, and driving Regular exposure to all weather conditions in combination with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions Position lifts or carries objects up to 20 kg (50 lbs.) AWP named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023 and 2025 for Diversity Compensation: $60k - $65k + Company Vehicle + 7% AIP Bonus Potential The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
