As an Account Manager, a typical day might include: Collaborating with the BSAA Personal Insurance team, proactively obtains underwriting information from potential and renewal clients Demonstrating and applies knowledge of binding authorities & insurer portals Creating and sending submissions to underwriters (where re-marketing is required) Liaising with clients on the status of their request for coverage or renewal Presenting quotes and/or renewals and endorsements to client, obtaining orders and binds coverage with underwriters Maintaining a technical and service-oriented relationship with the clients and underwriters Keeping Account Executive(s) up to date on the status of client accounts Providing friendly, professional service to customers and internal stakeholders Handling routine customer and Account Executive inquiries/concerns in a timely manner and to an agreed upon Practice Group standard Issuing invoices, endorsements, policy documents, etc Handling claims, including reporting to insurers, inputting new data, and updating clients on claims status Managing daily administration of accounts, including: correspondence; review of policy wordings, and issuance of new/renewal documentation Working Accounts Receivable lists Maintaining expiration lists and abeyances Ensuring all documentation are accurate and accounts are kept in an orderly manner You are passionate about: Providing friendly, professional service Making a positive difference to those around you Sharing ideas and working with a great team of proactive, innovative thinkers Learning, growing, and pushing past barriers Living with integrity Taking ownership of your work and actions You’re outstanding at: Organization! Staying on top of priorities & managing expectations Paying attention to the little things that make a big difference Getting stuff done Working behind the scenes to ensure an exceptional customer experience Must Haves: Minimum 2-3 years’ of Personal Lines insurance experience, consistently meeting internal core competencies General Insurance Agent Level II license through the Insurance Council of British Columbia or equivalent license in the individual’s province of residence, with the ability to obtain a British Columbia license A Level I license is acceptable with commensurate experience &/or active pursuit of a Level II licenses Active pursuit of CAIB, CIP, CRM, or other insurance designations, considered an asset You want a leg up? Exigences
Candidates must have 2-3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience and a General Insurance Agent Level II license (or equivalent). A post-secondary degree and experience with the Applied Epic broker management system are considered assets.
