*Job Overview* Chebucto Inn is looking to hire a Motel Cleaner for our busy, 31-room, family-run motel in Halifax, Nova Scotia. *Job Duties* In accordance with established cleaning procedures and safety policies: · Clean all areas of guest rooms thoroughly and promptly; · Disinfect guest rooms and other cleaning areas, as needed, in accordance with company procedures; · Change linens and make beds; · Clean and sanitize bathrooms (including tubs, toilets, tiles, floors, vanities, and mirrors); · Vacuum, dust, replenish towels and soaps, and remove garbage; · As needed, clean common areas, including hallways, the front lobby, and common bathrooms; · Communicate with front desk agents when rooms are clean and ready for guest occupancy; · Monitor and maintain daily stock levels of linens and supplies; · Communicate with front desk agents and/or management regarding inventory requirements; · Report lost-and-found items in accordance with company policy; · Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and/or management to enhance the guest experience; · Record and report any required room repairs to front desk agents and/or management, as appropriate; and · Train junior staff on job duties and company procedures. *Requirements* · A minimum of one year of relevant experience working in a hotel or motel; · Ability to communicate in English; · High school graduation certificate; · Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive tasks, including moving, bending, and standing for extended periods; · Ability to be flexible and thrive in a fast-paced work environment; and · Strong interpersonal skills that will enhance the experience of both motel guests and co-workers. *Salary and Benefits* $17.50 to $20.00 per hour (depending on experience) Full-time: 35 to 40 hours per week *Benefits include:* · Vacation pay · Free parking · Gratuities · Meals *Employer* B. & G.
