Founded in 2012, Ballad provides workforce development programs for unemployed and underemployed Albertans in 6 regions across the province. Our industry-driven programs prepare participants to obtain meaningful employment in a diversity of industries including supply chain, construction, hospitality, insurance and agriculture. Our programs include essential skills workshops, simulated work sites, in-class occupational training, micro-credentials, employer site visits and job placements. Our impact goal is to empower participants to be resilient and reattach to the workforce long-term. We also provide economic development, community development and business advisory consulting services for rural municipalities and Indigenous Communities. We integrate an engagement process that supports our clients achieve their vision for the future.

Career Coach

The Career Coach will facilitate employment and life management workshops while providing individualized counselling to help participants overcome barriers to employment. They will also collaborate with the team to develop program materials and assist in securing job placements for participants.

Safety Officer

The Safety Officer will lead and continuously improve the health and safety program, ensuring compliance with Alberta legislation and maintaining COR certification. They will also manage digital safety systems, conduct training, and facilitate the Joint Health & Safety Committee.

Supply Chain Facilitator

Deliver the Fundamentals of Supply Chain Logistics program and CITT micro-credential courses to participants in Red Deer. Provide job preparation workshops and collaborate with the program team to monitor participant progress and resolve conflicts.
