Détails du poste
Position Overview We are seeking an associate lawyer with 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, insolvency & restructuring, creditors' rights and/or construction litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside established practitioners in a growing litigation practice, who are committed to hiring and developing the best and brightest legal and business professionals. About Us Banack Deren LLP is an Edmonton-based law firm with roots dating back to 2017. Founded by Jason Banack as HGA Law and initially operating as part of the HGA Group, the firm began with a corporate and commercial practice and expanded to include a litigation practice in 2024 when Mandi Deren joined the firm as a partner. In 2026, the firm entered its next chapter when it rebranded as Banack Deren LLP, reflecting the firm’s distinct identity, values and vision for the future. Before building Banack Deren LLP, Jason and Mandi each spent many years practicing at large downtown Edmonton law firms. Those experiences provided a strong foundation, but also shaped their vision for a different kind of firm: one that combines sophisticated legal work with close client relationships, a deeper understanding of the businesses and people it serves, and consistently thoughtful, practical and strategic advice. Banack Deren LLP provides a broad range of legal services, including corporate and commercial law, commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring, construction law, employment law, and estate and succession planning. We are also a technology-forward firm and believe that thoughtful investment in technology, systems and processes allows us to work more efficiently, improve the client experience, and focus our time where it adds the greatest value.
