We are currently seeking qualified Pipefitters to join our on-site Construction team for one month, based out of a remote camp location near Fort MacKay, Alberta. This position offers the opportunity to participate in construction on the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System. The shift is planned to be 21 days on and 7 days off rotation, 10-hour days. While the preference is to hire candidates who resides locally, fly-in, fly-out from Edmonton, Alberta or Calgary, Alberta will be available based on eligibility. Hourly rate: Ranges from $32.15/hr. to $53.58/hr. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities: Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines Select type and size of pipe required Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system Install supports, valves, piping and control systems Hydrotest system for leaks using testing equipment Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system Other duties as required Qualifications Apprentice up to and including Journeyperson Red Seal level Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in pipefitting Experience in an industrial setting required Knowledge and experience with industrial construction and operations Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of a project organization Required Tickets Fall Arrest Certification As part of the recruitment process, successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract. Perform pipefitting duties including reading blueprints, cutting, bending, and threading pipes to required specifications. Install supports, valves, and control systems while conducting hydrotests to ensure system integrity.

Candidates must be an Apprentice up to a Journeyperson Red Seal level with proven industrial pipefitting experience. Required certifications include Fall Arrest, and candidates must pass pre-employment checks such as drug testing and criminal background checks.
