As a 2D Animator, you will create traditional character and prop animation that supports the style, performance, and production needs of the show. You will work closely with leads, supervisors, directors, and production to deliver polished animation while responding to creative and technical feedback. What You’ll Do: Animate 2D characters and props using traditional animation, ensuring shots align with the project’s artistic vision, quality standards, and production needs. Revise animation based on feedback from leads, supervisors, and directors while handling shots of varying complexity and maintaining consistent quality. Manage time effectively and work with production to stay on schedule. Keep leads, production, and team members informed about progress, challenges, and solutions. Participate in dailies, rounds, and team discussions, contributing ideas and feedback to support creative and technical improvements. Adhere to pipeline workflows and technical requirements for seamless integration into the production process. What You’ll Bring: Previous production experience as a 2D Animator on a feature or TV series, creating traditional animation. At least 2 years of experience working with Toonboom Harmony 21 to Harmony 25 and excellent knowledge of all drawing and animation tools in Harmony. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively promote solutions, share knowledge, and incorporate feedback. A portfolio or demo reel that demonstrates strong traditional 2D animation, including character performance, timing, spacing, and polish. Strong drawing and draftsmanship skills, with an understanding of anatomy, posing, and perspective. Strong character acting skills, including comedy, subtle expressions, and dynamic movement. Pay Range: CAD $1500 - $1700 per week This salary range reflects our current expectations for these roles as of this posting’s date. Your final salary offer will consider various key factors, including your education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographical location, as well as the needs and requirements of the business.
