As a vital member of our team, you will provide exceptional customer service and create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our esteemed guests. With your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality, you will contribute to delivering a memorable dining experience that exceeds our patrons' expectations. Key Responsibilities * Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, ensuring a positive first impression of the restaurant. * Manage the reservation system, accurately recording and organizing guest information, special requests, and table assignments. * Coordinate with the restaurant staff to ensure efficient table turnover and smooth seating arrangements. * Provide accurate wait time estimates and manage the seating queue effectively, striving to minimize guest waiting times. * Familiarize guests with the restaurant layout, including dining areas, bar, lounge, and restrooms. * Communicate effectively with the wait staff, kitchen team, and management to ensure a seamless flow of service. * Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and exceed expectations. * Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the reception area, lobby, and waiting areas. * Collaborate with the management team to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's menu offerings, specials, and wine list. * Display a strong knowledge of the local area, including attractions, events, and accommodations, to provide recommendations to guests when requested. * Uphold high standards of professionalism, appearance, and conduct, adhering to the restaurant's policies and procedures. REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is highly preferred. * Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with guests in a personable and courteous manner. * Exceptional organization and time management abilities to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with composure and grace. * A genuine passion for hospitality and an unwavering commitment to providing exceptional customer service. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operational needs. * Proficiency in using reservation management software and other relevant technology is an asset. * Knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine pairing, and menu offerings is desirable. * High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
