Job Title: Identity Engineer (Active Directory / PowerShell) 📍 Toronto, ON (Hybrid) 📅 Contract: 6 Months (Strong Extension Potential) 🏢 About the Opportunity We are currently hiring an experienced Identity Engineer to join the Identity Directory & Tools team at a leading bank. This is a highly technical, hands-on role focused on Active Directory engineering, PowerShell automation, and platform customization. You will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining enterprise identity infrastructure, working alongside a team of experienced engineers on critical directory services and workflows. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and directory management Customize and enhance Active Roles Server (ARS), including workflows and business rules Manage Active Directory objects (users, groups, OUs) and lifecycle processes Improve and optimize directory workflows and automation logic Support and enhance internal tools used for AD object management Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on identity solutions and improvements ✅ Must-Have Skills & Experience 8–10+ years of experience in Active Directory / Identity Engineering Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting and automation (critical) Deep understanding of Active Directory (AD DS) and object management Experience developing workflows, rules, or automation logic Experience working in enterprise-scale environments ⭐ Nice-to-Have Experience with Active Roles Server (ARS) or similar IAM tools Exposure to Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD (hybrid environments) Knowledge of GPO, DNS, and domain controllers Experience in banking or regulated environments Familiarity with infrastructure components (e.g., SQL) 💼 What You’ll Gain Opportunity to work on core identity infrastructure in a large enterprise Hands-on experience with ARS customization (niche skillset) Exposure to complex AD environments and automation at scale Collaborative environment with highly skilled engineering teams 🧠 Soft Skills We’re Looking For Strong problem-solving and initiative Ability to work independently and drive solutions end-to-end Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset 📍 Work Model Hybrid: 1 day/week onsite + 1 additional day/month Location: Downtown Toronto

The Identity Engineer will develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and directory management, as well as customize and enhance Active Roles Server. They will also manage Active Directory objects and improve directory workflows.

Candidates must have 8-10+ years of experience in Active Directory and strong expertise in PowerShell scripting. A deep understanding of identity engineering and experience in enterprise-scale environments is also required.
