Summary: Non-licensed member of the health team whose main responsibility is to transport and discharge patients to their appropriate destinations. Other functions include equipment maintenance and performance of basic life support (BLS) in an emergency situation. Demonstrates the ability to work independently. The primary responsibility is to transport and discharge patients to their appropriate destinations within the health system. Additionally, the role involves maintaining equipment and performing basic life support during emergency situations.

Candidates should ideally have a high school diploma or GED and must possess Basic Life Support certification. A Certified Nursing Assistant credential and hospital-related experience are considered nonessential.
