Brand Manager We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Brand Manager to enhance our market presence and drive sales through the development and implementation of innovative brand and product strategies. In this role, you will analyze market trends, consumer insights, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for brand positioning. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, category, and agencies, you will define product requirements and ensure alignment with our brand objectives. As the Brand Manager, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, including pricing, promotion, distribution, and communication strategies. You will monitor and evaluate product performance, utilizing data-driven insights to refine marketing efforts and optimize brand visibility. Your commitment to ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels will foster strong brand equity and customer loyalty. In addition to leading brand strategy and execution, you will drive innovation projects across a dedicated brand portfolio, developing and implementing plans that resonate with consumers and customers alike. Your focus on high-leverage opportunities will enable growth for both the business and individual capabilities, making a significant impact across multiple portfolios and projects. This is a permanent position based out of Mississauga, Ontario. What you will do: Responsible for the brand planning process of a dedicated portfolio, including long and short term strategies, brand fundamentals, activation plans, P&I management. Responsible for the brand P&L, ensuring a sustainable brand growth. Leads innovation strategy for a dedicated portfolio. Includes innovation identification, consumer testing, business case development, launch strategy and execution inclusive of customer sell-in and trade plans. Together with agency partners and in-house media team, leads development, qualification and implementation of omni-channel creative that resonates with consumers. Analyzes business/category/competitive performance to identify external trends and build plans to capitalize against these trends. Together with research agencies, leads consumer research to uncover consumer trends and makes recommendations on how to capitalize. Collaborate with regional and global counterparts to create connections and evaluate opportunities and make recommendations on how to leverage for Canadian market. Manages and leads multiple external agency and internal partners to produce and adapt consumer communication strategies and executions in line with the brand strategy. Collaborates with and influences multiple cross-functional teams, including Media, Regulatory, Medical, Sales, etc. to execute brand initiatives and implement plans. Supports the broader marketing organization by contributing to additional projects and opportunities across various portfolios to enable growth by focusing on high impact activities that deliver on the team’s outcomes. Ensures all activities/events are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, in accordance with Bayer Safety, compliance and Sustainability Policies. Who you are: Business degree or Masters degree in relevant subject area; MBA preferred. 5/+ years of CPG/ FMCG or similar marketing experience (OTC experience a benefit) Consumer focused with marketing experience in the Canadian market, and knowledge of retail landscape. Worked with data analytics marketing insights. Knowledge of and experience in digital and social media landscape activation. Has the ability to motivate individuals/team in pursuit of common objective. Strong interpersonal English communication skills; able to understand, interact and work with a variety of functional representatives, and can elicit superior performance from them. Collaborates with accountability and an inclusion mindset; ability to hold themselves and others accountable across teams while respecting differences and embracing inclusion. Excellent ability to assess or analyze a situation and multiple data sources to derive optimal path for action. High learning agility with demonstrated ability to act, learn fast and evolve. Able to assess and react to complex technical information. Self-motivating and outcome focused, driving to highest impact outcomes. Strategic management, planning and execution skills; ability to exhibit strategic-level thinking and view the “bigger picture”. The base salary range for this role is between $96,000 and $144,000. This compensation includes components such as base salary, vacation pay, public holiday pay, potential estimated overtime pay and paid statutory leaves of absence. Additional benefits may include insured benefits such as health care, vision, dental, disability, and contributory retirement savings plans, etc. This role also provides the opportunity to earn additional performance-based compensation. If performance-based compensation is earned, the total compensation package may provide an opportunity to earn a Total Direct Compensation (TDC) range of $113,200 and $163,200 . This TDC would include base salary and may also include items like bonuses (short-term and long-term incentives) and sales incentives. The estimated TDC range estimates performance-based compensation earned at 100% of target; however actual amounts may fluctuate below or above the TDC range based on company and/or individual performance. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, market data and the applicant’s skills, prior relevant experience, job-related knowledge, specific degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
