Explore the BDC Way in our Culture Book Position Overview BDC's Corporate Financing group is looking for an Associate Manager to join its growing team in Montreal! This is an opportunity to gain significant experience working with companies with revenues over $50M. You will have the opportunity to put your commercial banking experience to good use by supporting the Directors, Corporate Financing, in file analysis and client relations. CHALLENGES TO BE MET Contribute to the development of BDC's Corporate Financing portfolio by performing detailed financial analyses and modeling on historical and build service request for new financing and portfolio management Maintain data integrity within the Corporate Financing portfolio by ensuring all relevant information is saved in the appropriate location within the Bank's databases. Contribute to the completion of BDC's KYC and AML due diligence including completing online requests and searches (e.g. Equifax, Corporate Registry Searches, FINSCAN, etc.). Receive, investigate and evaluate proposals to determine their viability, undertake due diligence and, if applicable, develop Corporate Financing proposals in accordance with BDC's standards and procedures. Working closely with the underwriting team, finalize the credit submissions and participate in the credit alignment. Contribute to the preparation of written credit submissions for loan authorizations and amendments in conjunction with the Director, Corporate Financing consistent with BDC's standards and procedures. Ensure that all client needs are met by identifying opportunities for the other business lines to serve customer needs and by maintaining a close knowledge of the capacity and expertise of the network. Contribute to the development of BDC's Corporate Financing portfolio by managing transactions as well as customer contacts/negotiations for Corporate Financing activities. What We Are Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance (or equivalent) Working towards or completion of a professional designation (CFA, CBV, CPA, or other relevant designation) is a plus Minimum of 1 to 3 years of commercial or corporate banking experience. Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy Sound credit judgement and risk analysis skills Ability to analyze complex financial structures as well as financial modelling Sound judgment in dealing with approaches to financing, processing applications and maintaining relationships with customers Ability to work autonomously within a team environment, organize work under pressure while managing/balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines Bilingualism (English, French) is considered an asset Proudly one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible environment where all employees can thrive and feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work.
